Gazing ahead, far in the distance stand endless sunlit fields of sage, laden with dense pink-lavender blossoms arranged in large, branching, striking panicles composed of flowering branchlets. It is these inflorescences that synthesize and accumulate essential oil—mainly in the labiate glands located on the calyces and bracts.

During peak bloom, the large, bright inflorescences release a unique, delicate, and refined aroma radiant with beauty’s hues. Clary sage is a herald of Good. For us as essential-oil producers, it is vitally important to harvest correctly and on time—at clary sage flowering, when the seeds in the basal whorls of the central spike have browned—since otherwise the content of active constituents decreases. We harvest by hand, carefully cutting the aerial flowering mass with a sickle—without “traumatizing,” i.e., without crushing or heating the raw material, which would sharply degrade the quality of the herbal drug. We then distill fully mature inflorescences with special precision and care, ensuring a high-quality compositional profile and the high efficacy of the pure essential oil obtained, which preserves its characteristic musky scent.

And at last the long-awaited moment arrived, with great excitement and anticipation! At exactly the right time we began the labor-intensive process of gathering the harvest followed by distilling the fresh, unheated sage blossoms.

Producing clary sage essential oil is accompanied by centuries-old cultural traditions, which we have strictly observed. In our own steam-distillation facility for essential oils, we distilled the inflorescences of clary sage gathered at full bloom—carefully and expertly. This precise process successfully transformed the magical sage blossoms into a high-quality, 100% natural essential oil with unique characteristics, leaving us especially proud and inspired by our work this year.

The entire production process—from harvesting the aerial flowering mass to bottling the essential oil—we carried out by hand, so as to preserve to the greatest extent the valuable biochemical composition of the oil and the energetic properties of the plants.

At the same time, we carefully controlled every stage of the distillation, adhering to stringent standards and requirements. In steam distillation, low temperature and low pressure are crucial for extracting high-quality essential oil. We leave nothing to chance, because we strive to guarantee our clients “the purity, quality, and origin of the plant in its fullness and entirety.”

We filled the natural clary sage essential oil into small, dark glass bottles to protect it from light and heat and prevent deterioration. The result of our work is a true revelation for all the senses.
